Appendix 1: Public Participation

Public Participation

Public participation in the corridor management planning process included a formal Corridor Advisory Group (CAG) (52 members) and an informal group of community interest-holders (239 participants), all of whom represented businesses, organizations, and municipalities throughout the entire region.

CAG members participated in monthly meetings and provided guidance and feedback on the development and final writing of the plan, brochure, map, and website. Other community interest-holders completed business surveys, reviewed documents, read updates, helped distribute visitor surveys and brochures, commented on the website, and attended public meetings.

All meetings were open to the public, and all CAG members and interest-holders were given access to the planning website, the public website, and the Facebook page, all of which provided information regarding meeting dates, agendas, and minutes; local events and stories; survey results; planning document drafts; promotional materials; and media. Public comments were always encouraged and often contributed throughout the process.

Following are lists of CAG members and community interest holders, a list of public meetings that were conducted, and a list of media produced during the planning process.
